Who We Are
BOTHANDS is a Flagstaff-based non-profit agency focused on helping residents access safe, decent and affordable housing with an opportunity for upward mobility. We offer many services:
- First-time home buyer education and counseling
- Down payment assistance
- Foreclosure mitigation counseling
- Operation of Sharon Manor Transitional Housing Complex
- Development of new affordable homes through our partner AHC Homes
- Acquisition and rehabilitation of homes through our construction partner AHC Homes
- Real Estate services through our realty partner Flagstaff Neighborhood Realty.
BOTHANDS programs are aimed to help working families achieve and sustain safe, decent and affordable housing.

Walk for a Change
When: 8:30-11:00 a.m., October 8th, 2011
Where: Starting at the front lawn of City Hall
Help put an end to domestic violence by strolling around downtown Flagstaff as part of the second annual Walk for a Change. Walkers will have a choice of when they start (anytime between 8:30 and 11:00) and of which route they want to take (one mile or three miles), and each will include water and snack stations. Your $35 registration fee includes a t-shirt that, if you wear it around town after the race, will earn you discounts with local merchants. Learn more by clicking Walk For a Change. BOTHANDS Provides Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
BOTHANDS is partnered with the Arizona Department of Housing and the Rural Community Assistance Corporation to help homeowners work with their lenders to avoid foreclosure or to mitigate the impacts of foreclosure. Click here to read more about BOTHANDS counseling program for homeowners.
Izabel Homes Application Period is Open
The second phase of Izabel Homes is under construction! We are currently accepting applications for Phase II of the project, which will consist of three new energy-efficient homes. The first step is to complete an application, which will help us determine if you are eligible to purchase one of these homes. Click here to access the application. In order to be considered in the lottery for these homes, you must return your completed application to BOTHANDS office, located at 2304 N. Third St., Flagstaff, AZ 86004 by 5 p.m. Monday, April 22. After the lottery closes, applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Current Projects and Homes For Sale
BOTHANDS helps increase the supply of safe, decent and affordable housing in the Flagstaff area through ongoing construction projects with our partner AHC Homes. We have recently purchased a new home for our acquisition/rehab project. The home is located at 1801 N. Main St. and must be sold to a low-income first-time homebuyer. Homebuyer Education
We've updated our homebuyer educational workshops calendar! Click here for information about our 8-hour homebuyer education classes, which follow national standards. Client receiving financial assistance through our organization must complete the class prior to signing a purchase contract.
